I’m not sure which is which, but I prefer whichever amp is on the green light? It’s subtle, but there is more note definition (to my ears).

Did you keep the 50k mid pot in?? Or did you like it better stock. Keeping the amp more “pure” to its stock form.

Are the channels internally jumpered on the original?

Scumback sounded closest to me, but it still had the slightest push in the upper mids. Ain't nothin' like the real thang baby!

Is there a schematic for this conversion? I already switched to the 50K Mid Pot, But I don't quite know what's the procedure is for adding the 25K clipped, and the extra cap.

Honest curious question. I know this vids a year old, but why is it hard to simply copy a circuit? And if that's not what you are doing, why not?

Just preordered the 100 watt MK II today for 2025. Curious when switching over to 12301, is there a drop in voltage as well or just the circuitry has changed for lack of a better term. Really looking forward to this amp. Thanks for the great work.

Iv got a 71 50 watt marshall, had the early slo 100, have a friedman be 100 and picked up a metroplex! This amp is crazy good !! My favorite!! Touch sensitive, roll back volume , sweet tone ! Iv never seen an amp cover so much guitar tone territory, Hendrix, Allman Bros!, VH ACDC! All the music I grew up with is in this amp !! It has a Bottom end THUNK that has to be experienced! Mid that cuts and treble that doesn’t pierce! I love this amp !!

I just now right now started to play my Metro-Plex MKII and this amp is awesome -- no matter what genre -- the singing sustain and just pure rock flavor is astounding.. This amp pairs so well with my Metropoulos Super-Plex MKII -- George is the best -- I am so fortunate to use his builds -- these amps are so value based. Thanks George

Eddie said in an interview that his tone was accidental.I think the same can be said for Hendrix and many others that were in the right time and the right place. Not to take away from their ability and unique phrasing and arrangements in their playing. They are all guitar hero’s to countless players,including me.They did the searching and found the answers for their tone. We are all,grateful to builders and players of the past ,and those who continue the search for tone. Rock on brothers .

Very close, like 95%. Both sound great but red is a little thicker & woofier while green has more of that clear strident upper midrange that I love plexis for.
